This is a picture book about outback kids who enjoy the rodeo. A Rodeo is a competition of combined skill between animal and rider. This is an event that originated from everyday work and duties caring and working with livestock on the land, to a common sport that showcases lots of excitement of some of the everyday procedures that were necessary to work with and care for animals many years ago and to this day.
So at the end of the rodeo the work doesn't stop. The contractors now have to feed their animals, the bulls, horses, calves and steers. These animals are just like their kids, and are treated with lots of love and respect; they will all have some grain and fresh hay for dinner. There's only respect given to these animal athletes; they are family.
