Supporting teachers in delivering engaging, local content to guide and encourage their Year 7 to 10 students as they explore the shaping of the modern world and the various challenges faced by humanity today.

This NEW series has been written specifically to engage Queensland students with History, Geography, Economics and Business and Civics and Citizenship. It draws on local content and examples in each topic to ensure Queensland students can relate to and genuinely connect with each subject.

Students will also be engaged in the content through fascinating chapter openers, a visually appealing design, carefully chosen language, an extensive range of sources plus rich digital resources that bring each topic to life.

Students are prepared for further senior studies through a source-based inquiry approach for history, and by the consistent use of cognitive verbs in each year level that lead into the QCE cognitive verbs at Year 10.

Skills and concepts are integrated throughout the chapters in a wide range of activities that help students make the connection between the skill and the subject matter and allow teachers to differentiate learning to suit the needs of individual students.

Extensive teacher support is provided by the experienced and passionate Queensland authors - particularly in areas often taught by non-specialist teachers. Resources include a range of activity-types to support differentiation, modern pedagogical practices such as Visible Thinking Routines, a host of downloadable resources such as worksheets (including answers) and teaching programs, and a powerful Learning Management System to monitor student progress.

Online Teaching Suite

The Online Teaching Suite combines the Interactive Textbook powered by HOTmaths with its rich digital resources, a suite of supplementary resources and a powerful Learning Management System (LMS). It is accessed online through the series portal. Your Cambridge Education Resource Consultant will provide access to the Online Teaching Suite if your school has purchased or booklisted one or more Cambridge courses. The Online Teaching Suite is also available for purchase separately and can be activated using the unique 16-character access code supplied on purchase.

The Online Teaching Suite is available as a calendar-year subscription. A calendar-year subscription is defined as follows: if activation occurs between January and July of this year, subscription concludes on 31 December this year. If activation occurs between August and December of this year, subscription concludes on 31 December the following year.
