Edmund Kennedy (1818-1848) was an Australian explorer in the early 19th century and is credited with exploring the interior of northern New South Wales, Southern Queensland and Cape York Peninsula. The Australian Electoral Division of Kennedy in northern Queensland is named after him and the Edmund Kennedy National Park in Northern Queensland.
